Getting this right can have huge positive consequences: just this week the online fashion retailer Boohoo reported a 50% increase in revenue and a rise in pre-tax profits of 22% in the first half of this year compared to 2017 values, taking both figures to an impressive £395.3m and £24.7m respectively.
Its joint Chief Executives released the news, attributing the performance to the ‘dramatic’ increase in Boohoo’s social media content on photo-sharing network Instagram, now with 6.3 million followers, Facebook, with 1.4 million followers, and Twitter, with 200,000 people following the online fashion retailer.
